We have not used this park before, so glad we did. The park is run by the community, great little overnight stop off for us, $26.00 for 2 people powered site great little camp kitchen and spotless toilet shower block. Dump point at the site.. will stay with them again. Contact 0488257928 to get the code for the amenities as the park is maned during the day.

This park continues to improve and is well maintained by the Shire. A Shire employee came and opened the office around 4pm for collection of fees ( $ 26-50 ) and we enjoyed our stay on a very frosty night. There is a dump point, a little rustic though.

We had two nights here for a very reasonable $26 a night powered. I would agree with all the positive statements in other reports. The only negative is the truck noise from the highway that runs straight past the park. On the Monday night the noise was a bit intense and we did not sleep well. Tuesday night the trucks were much less frequent and we could sleep okay. Tip- you can pay using your card at the friendly visitor center before 3.45pm weekdays if you struggle with cash, not sure of weekend hours.

A well shaded park easily accessed from the highway and the sites are level and all drive through. The amenities were some of the cleanest I come across. One tip, is that the manager comes late pm takes cash only for payment. There are atms in the RSL and Foodworks shop. I highly recommend a stop here

Expecting a typical country Council run Park we were totally disappointed with this Park. Grass was very high and not cut for some time even though around the trees had been cleaned up. Garbages full.Got in early and basically select your own site with most sites shaded. Caretaker was abrasive and unfriendly on initial contact. indicating he tolerated no nonsense. This turned out to be far from the truth, as we had to personally ask some drunken locals who were visiting someone in the Park to please consider others, after we had requested the Caretaker to intervene and enforce the Council Rules of quiet after 9:00 pm at night. This was after 10:00 pm with the party going on since 4:00 pm. We submitted an official complaint to Council on our experiences. Totally disappointed with locals being able to drive around the park at any time.

Now $25 per night powered, $20 unpowered. Great little park, drive through level sites suitable for our fifth wheeler, shady trees. Good amenities, friendly manager (Dale), close to town, a great 2 km loop river walk from the park to view platypus in the river. A good base to do some sight-seeing and bushwalks in the National Parks and forestry areas, Quite noisy as it is on the highway but a very pleasant place to stay.
