Bullamunta Rd, North Bourke. 5 km N of North Bourke; 10 km N of Bourke. Bullamunta Rd is newly sealed for 2.6 kms then is graded dirt road. The quality of the grading is dependant on when it was last done or when it last rained heavily. Just follow the road/track and you can't but come to the Darling River and Mays Bend.

On the banks of a U-bend in the Darling River. No facilities whatsoever yet it is a very popular camping area. Some sites are down near the water, some up a bit higher, and plenty around the immediate area. For true 4WD setups (no vans) there is a 5 km track that continues which circumnavigates the various bends and comes back to this camping area. What stops other vehicles is a severe dip and rise that will jack-knife everyone else towing or even some 2WDs. Vehicles other than 4WD can take the reverse track at the camping area for about 1 km to another camping area. We stayed 3 weeks looking out over the river and "pigged out" on huge yabbies. We caught so many, we threw back the "tiddlers". I also caught over 100 carp but not one yellow belly. The carp fed the local birds. Bring your own firewood. Not a lot around unless your adventurous.
