We reported a major leak in the site tap. The manager asked if we had water in the caravan and not to worry about it. This in a place under water restrictions. Toilet paper and paper towel were not replaced until the weekend staff came on duty. All clothes dryers and one washing machine were out of order and, judging by the age of the notices, had been for some time.
Average staff friendliness, bad staff response to complaints. Poor value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to only some sites, were dirty, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Dirty UC electric BBQs fuel costs $1.00, dismal bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Basic playground, in average condition. Clean pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families.
Liked:- The park is in a quiet area.
Disliked:- Note: this is no longer a member of Family Parks. $35.00 is way over-priced for what you get. Whole areas of the park were roped off so that grass could be watered for days. Caravanners staying for longer than one night were put onto dust bowls which turned to slush when it rained. Generally the park had a rundown atmosphere with old caravans and cabins dotted around the park.
Parking:- There is ample room to park, just watch out for the broken raised concrete at the gutter. Internal roads are pot-holed and dusty.
Local Information:- The Info Centre is an excellent resource. There's lots to see and do: visit Silverton and Mundi Mundi Lookout; go to the Living Desert and Sculpture park; take the historical walk; go to the Line of Lode monument to the miners and eat at the cafe for the view.
Road Conditions:- Because of drought, kangaroos and emus are coming closer to the towns for feed and water so be on the alert because serious damage can be done to vehicles.

This is quite a big park on the northern side of Broken Hill. It is located a few kms out of town and well away from the highway so very quiet. All sites are generously sized however they are all dirt and most are not level so levelling ramps needed. All internal roads are also dirt. Points for power, water and sullage are all handy and there is an onsite dump point. Ablution block has adequate facilities and were clean. Telstra coverage was fair at 2 bars. Tariff was $35 PN for 2A on a powered site less 10% for Family Park Tourist members. Happy to stay here again when next in town.

Van parking on arrival, had en suit built for elderly with rails all over to hang onto, but go for a shower and nowhere to hang anything - bad. Reasonable, fairly level grass site. Camp kitchen needs a good clean/updating. A dollar to use indoor BBQ. Good distance from neighbour. Think I will look for a different park next time.
