Previous reports cover this park very well. We stayed here 3 years ago & enjoyed our visit in one of the best parks we have ever been in. Hard to fault anything here. Ownership of the park has changed in 3 years but the standards have not slipped. Even the books in the book/swap "library" are arranged alphabetically. Excellent value at $31.50/night 2A ensuite (3 night special). The proprietors of parks in the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast need to visit this park to see how a good park should be.

Treat yourself and go to this park. We've been here before; short term, longer term and overnighter. It is magnificent in resort facilities and proportions of sites. There are different costs depending on what type of site you choose, we've been to them all and even the cheapest $27 ($24.30 with BIG 4 discount) is fantastic. Casino town has all that you could want, so this is definitely a spot where one (or two) can spend a long or short very comfortable time.

I can usually find something wrong with any caravan park but this one had me beat. It is excellent in every respect. Terrific value at $34pn for an en suite site with the Big4 discount. Sites are drive through with high hedges for privacy. There is a concrete slab for your awning and it even has inbuilt rings for your guy ropes. The ensuite is large and clean with a storage room also available. The park is huge and there is a large permanent retirement complex on site. It is accurately described as a RV Resort but instead of a jumping castle it has an art gallery and line dancing. I also appreciated the way they allocated me a security code using numbers from my mobile phone. A nice touch.

The Big 4 at Casino is a very comfortable park that we enjoy coming to each year. The sites are mainly level and easy to negotiate which is much appreciated with our 24' van. There is an on-site book swap library as well as the coffee shop. The grounds are well maintained and the staff helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this park.

Large open park now a Big 4. Excellent value for money. Excellent ablutions and great library facility. Great grounds well maintained. Somewhat vulnerable to being waterlogged if much rain as built on clay. Great base to use for drives through local mountains and rain forests. Worth a visit to Lions road for stunning scenery and the towns of Nimbin (very hippy) and Kyogle. We stayed 2 weeks and loved the laid back feel and wide open spaces. Rates dont go up in school holidays.

Even at the 'tail end' of Beef Week, we were able to get a site. This park is huge! Fashioned as an over 50's resort, the property includes very nice houses as well as two separate caravan site sections. One huge grassy section was being utilised by a caravanning club, the other section with more individual sites is the other side of the resort. We had a drive through grassy site that was about 80m's long, so loads of room! Other drive through sites or reverse into sites had grass or gravel stands with mature hedging between each of these sites providing privacy. Ensuite sites also available. Amenities were close and cleaned daily. Laundry v good, loads of clothes lines and some undercover-excellent idea! Facilities are many; large walk-in pool, rec rooms holding card arvos, crafts, etc. Large camp kitchen with happy hour. Great DTV, mobile and internet (Telstra and Optus) reception. Dump point. Loads of sealed internal roads for a good stroll around. 20min walk into town which has all the usual shops and facilities. $28 P/N 2A pwd very good value for money and we would definitely stay at this quiet country resort again.

Very little patronage and we wonder whether people are not coming because it is a Big4 and these parks are usually expensive to grey nomads. We have a big rig and plenty of space to park up without unhitching. Lots of drive through sites and sites for all sorts of rigs. We paid $24.00 for the night. Has dump point and cassette flush dump points at amenity blocks. Staff friendly.

The most spacious sites of any park we have stayed at in over 20 years of caravaning. Drive thru sites are 30m X 9m. Very large park. It takes 40minutes to walk a dog around the perimeter. Many permanents as part of large relocatable village. All tidy & well maintained.

I stayed on one of the ensuite sites A74, the tariff for which was $39 per night, or $35.10 after the BIG4 discount. The site consisted of a gravel parking pad, a concrete slab, and a 2 room building with a generous awning. One room of the building contains the toilet, shower recess and wash basin and the other room is fitted out for a washing machine and laundry tub, but these items are not provided. The room can be used as a store room or maybe even a bedroom. The site had a privacy hedge on the side adjoining another site and on the road side were a number of small trees. The sites are large and the park is open and roomy. I got the impression that maintenance is not all it could be. The guttering on the road side of the ensuite had been severely impacted by a caravan some considerable time previously and had not been repaired. Although not hazardous the dislodged guttering could become so and was unsightly. There was also some evidence of wood rot in the bathroom door frame, which is a pity as these facilities are not old. There were not many caravanners in the park, and consequently, the laundry facilities were open in only one amenities block out of the three available. Whilst keeping the laundries closed no doubt keeps the cleaning work down, the policy of doing so could cause quite a bit of inconvenience for occupants far from the block with the working laundry. The park is flat as is to be expected having regard to its former status as an airport. Some sites are shaded, but many are not. However, when the large number of trees reach maturity, there will be many nicely shaded areas. The park is reasonably close to the shopping precinct. It is suitable for mobility impaired persons. There are social functions for village residents and guests on most days. I used Telstra mobile broadband for internet connection and signal strength ranged between 1 and 3 bars. The park is suitable for any length of stay, and is great for all sizes of vans, motorhome and fifth wheelers. The park whilst suitable for kids principally caters for the grey nomad community.
