Majority of travellers use this as an overnight stop. Sites are long enough to stay hooked up. Once was cash only, now with a person in the office you can pay by card. Clean amenities. Town is worth a couple of days exploring.

Have stayed here previously and not much has changed. Price was $42 pn for p&w which is only reasonable value. Sites are all slabs and good size. There is good shade on most sites. Amenities old but clean with good water pressure. Good place for an overnight stay. There can be noise from trucks stopping at the adjacent Shell Service Station but it didn't bother us.

A bit dated with some evidence of lack of maintenance. Located next to a Caltex Truck Stop, so overnight noise can be an issue with trucks stopping and starting. Located on main road, which is on a slight hill and at the point of speed limit change, with heavy vehicles using exhaust brakes - very loud.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Poor value for money $58 for 2A 2C PN, powered, peak season. Paid $52, reduced for BIG4 Discount. Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic camp kitchen, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Noisy, claustrophobic park, inadequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, dismal bbq area atmosphere. Suitable for overnighter.
Liked:- Close to town.
Disliked:- Noisy from trucks, not overly helpful, tight sites for larger vans.

The fourth time that we've stayed at this park. $34.20 per night, usually $37, previous client discount. Friendly reception, shaded, large sites, two amenities blocks are clean & tidy. Ask for Bowling Club discount vouchers at reception. Cobar never sleeps being a 24/7 mining town & at the intersection of two major truck routes it is quite noisy. It's still a nice convenient & popular caravan park to stay at though.

Friendly and welcoming Reception. Generous and well maintaind sites, most with annexe slabs. Power and water handy. Amenities clean but dated. Shady trees and grassy sites a real bonus. Adjacent to truck parking area which can become noisy so best to try for a site on the western side of the park away from potential noise.

The managers names are Michael & Fiona Kelly. We stayed here 1 night so we didn't see much of the park. Cost was $28.00 p/n 2 adults. This is a large park with plenty of shade and a few uncovered free gas BBQ's around the park. All powered sites are drive-through and free WiFi is available. Amenities were clean and in good condition. Park is also pet friendly.
