Have stayed here previously. Nice tidy park. Owners work hard to keep some green grass around. Amenities clean but starting to look a bit tired. Plenty of water pressure and shade trees. Some sites have slabs. Good value for money, paid $30 per night for 2 adults for 4 nights.

The managers names are Michael & Fiona Kelly. We stayed here 1 night so we didn't see much of the park. Cost was $28.00 p/n 2 adults. This is a large park with plenty of shade and a few uncovered free gas BBQ's around the park. All powered sites are drive-through and free WiFi is available. Amenities were clean and in good condition. Park is also pet friendly.

We were able to use a designated “disabled” site which was right outside the disabled bathroom. A welcome handy touch. Other amenities were clean and all requisites were there.Cost was $38.00 for the powered site.

One word - overpriced! $36 2A powered site per night (not sure why the price difference from previous reports). W/machine $4 and dryer $5, three out of order. Lots of trees and grass but recent rains have created red mud around sites. Amenities are clean, but use the central block. Camp kitchen was well equipped but pigs need to clean up after themselves. It can be noisy with roadhouse nearby, but no big deal during night. Lots to do in town esp Great Cobar Heritage Centre.

This is quite a big park located on the highway only about 1 km west of town on the way to Broken Hill. Cobar is on a major crossroads and there is only one caravan park here so this makes the park very popular. We’ve stayed here before and it is quite usual to see the park empty at 10am and completely full again by 6pm so if you plan getting in late you’ll need to book ahead. All sites are generously sized and most have concrete pads wide enough for caravan as well as annex. Big rigs are well catered for. There is a generous grass buffer between sites and plenty of room to park the tow tug while still having the awning out. There are also some drive through sites. Points for power, water and sullage are all handy and there is an onsite dump point. All internal roads are sealed and there are 2 ablution blocks which had adequate facilities and were regularly cleaned. Despite being on a major highway sites toward the rear of the park are very quiet. Telstra coverage was good. Tariff was a little expensive at $38 PN for 2A on a powered site however we were given a 10% discount as a returning customer. We will continue to stay here when next in the area.

Overpriced st $38.44 per night for 2 people paying with credit card. On arrival we were told that no hot water was available in a men's amenities block. Grounds well maintained but at 2.00pm it appeared that one amenities block had not been cleaned Was not impressed with owners/permanents dogs running loose in the park. Poor night lighting. Would not stay again - would use a "free camp"

Way too expensive for the quality of the park. Noisy as next to truck stop. Excellent free park to be found just out of town at the Newey Reservoir
Average staff friendliness, average staff response to complaints. Poor value for money $38 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, poor water quality, adequate taps close by. Basic laundry, no rec room, basic camp kitchen, dump point, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Dirty UC electric BBQs fuel costs $1, dismal bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for overnighter.
Liked:- Walking distance to Bowls Club.
Disliked:- Very noisy, right next to a 24 hour truck stop/servo trucks coming and going all hours.

This is the fifth or sixth time I have stayed at the park. The Management were as usual courteous, gave me a choice of spot to stay in and the animals were very welcome. Many other visitors to the park had pets as well, which means that the caravan park is 'pet friendly'. Only one hassle was that the cistern in the men's toilets were leaking and it was reported. The amenities were clean and great, a shower curtain over the shower and overall nice and clean. I achieved what I wanted to at Cobar and now the Community Radio Station is located in the caravan park and at present the Caravan Park has the best reception for Cobarfm102.9. Will be back there again in March. Thanks to John & Karen for the hospitality. Totally worth the quiet and serene visit.

We were there for our clubs AGM, the owners bent over backwards to make our stay memorable, from providing a discount to providing a marquee and tables and chairs for our daily happy hour. Staff couldn't do enough for us they were great.

Manager's name is John & Karen Dineen.
Read the previous reports regarding the facilities. I think they have made some effort to improve as the gents were always clean and apart from one day soap was provided. They are older facilities but well maintained. The grounds have mostly grass which I think is a bonus for this region. Have not commented on prices as we got a large group discount. Note I have listed the cubicles as cramped as quite a few of the ladies have mentioned this. The gents were a good average size in the block I used. If it is important to you, check them out first!
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Powered. Paid $25, reduced for Group booking. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good camp kitchen, dump point, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs fuel costs $1, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Mostly large sites with concrete annex.
Disliked:- Sites on the east side back onto the roadhouse with a truck rest area right on the fence line. Not a big issue except when refrigerated trucks stop there with the trailers powered by small diesel engines. Try to ask for a site away from this part. Free Wireless reception is poor on the eastern side of the park. Better closer to the office.
Parking:- Not a lot of room to pull up on check in but did not appear to be a big issue in the week we were here. The internal roads are wide so if too many vans parked to the left, turn right and park down near the visitors parking. You can still access all the sites easily.
Added Touches:- We were part of a large group and the staff went out of their way to help.
Local Information:- The Bowls Club have a courtesy bus and a Chinese restaurant with reasonable prices and good food but haphazard service. Worth a 2nd try for the food! The museum at the information centre needs updating and some maintenance but worth the money and it took us 2 hours to look around it. The town pool is just a couple of blocks away.

Have stayed at this park several times before and feel it has deteriorated. Poorly maintained amenities in the block we used at the bottom of the park. Faulty door latches, hooks missing and soap dispenser falling off wall. The park was near full and the amenities were overloaded and dirty by the morning.
Friendly staff. Poor value for money $35.00 for 2A PN. Amenities are close to only some sites, were dirty, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic camp kitchen, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Suitable for overnighter.
Disliked:- Poorly maintained and dirty amenities. Difficult narrow entry and exit to many drive through sites due to kerbing. Some truck noise at the bottom of the park.
Parking:- Room for rigs outside office.
Local Information:- Cobar a nice town with a reasonable supermarket. Most services in town.
Road Conditions:- Good road from Broken Hill and north to Bourke.

Here we are again at a park that last year I reported that I probably would not stay at again.Well nothing really has changed from previous reports, still $35 per night,we paid $31.50 because of previous stays, amenities not what I call clean by a long way and the grounds need a good clean up.I also believe that there is no seniors discount any more.

This was a one nighter, should have stayed longer, left car/van attached. Twice been there, was able to drive thru another site onto my flat concrete pad. MOST IMPORTANT - bring extra water hose and sullage hose. My water hose just reached but not the sullage. Green lawns well kept, toilet/shower block was pretty good but not for peak times. Limited parking on arrival. I would stay again.

Have stayed in past ,park has not changed much if anything the grounds have gone backwards maybe due to lack of rain.Amenities are reasonable, camp kitchen not bad,no pool. The one thing that has changed is the rate per night $35 ,we paid $32 because of previous stays. I know parks have put their prices up, but I reckon this one is way over the top, probably will not stay again. The park now has WIFI, free for 48hrs.
