Spreading, well maintained lawns encircle a modest number of concrete sites in this constantly maintained, council owned park which is definitely the pick of the 3 Cowra parks. The sites are a little too close together. Another half a metre frontage would help. This is not enough to deter you from coming here. The staff love to direct you onto your site. Fortunately their directions are really accurate. Swinging glass doors in shower cubicles make things very civilised..... and dry. Although I've described this place as quiet there were noisy intervals when a flock of 250 cockatoos materialised a few times. Night lighting at this park was excellent. Not too dark and not too light. Goldilocks would be pleased.
Very friendly staff, staff helped us at the site. Good value for money $38.00 for 2A, powered, off-peak season. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, dump point, van parking, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Vodaphone, reception quality was 3. Quiet, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC BBQs, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- The shopping centre starts 50 metres from the front gate.
Parking:- Just block the driveway out the front of reception. We felt guilty until we learnt it's standard procedure.
Local Information:- Japanese Gardens and prison camp site are standard fare for Cowra visitors.

Minor security problems here. Our car was searched thru one night (it may not have been locked) and our fridge in the annex was disturbed on another night - it was chained to the van & only contained cherries. Nothing was stolen or damaged on either night. We reported this to Keira who contacted police but this appears to be an isolated incident.
