Crookhaven Heads Tourist Park, Culburra Beach

About 5 mins drive from the small coastal town of Culburra. Head through Culburra and follow signs to the Crookhaven Heads Lighthouse along Price Edward Dve. The park is on the right hand side of the road you can't miss it. Ph: 02 4447 2849. No pets allowed.

Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $45 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Paid $33, reduced for group discount pensioner. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Excellent playground, in good condition. Clean pool, pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided, toddlers catered for. Suitable for a week or more.
Liked:- easy access to beach big caravan sites plenty of room to spread out a bit
Disliked:- garbage bins in camp kitchen inadequate not emptied often and left overflowing

Now called Culburra Beach Tourist Park. This is a big park located a few kms from the town. However, it has direct access to a great beach and another gate to the river. It could get quite crowded during school holidays, long weekends, etc.

New managers since October 2014 who appear to be having a go. They are young but very approachable and friendly.
Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints. Very good value for money $27 for 2A, powered, shoulder season. Paid $22.50, reduced for stay 4 pay 3 plus pensioner discount. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Liked:- Close to beach, plenty of room. Loved the fact the park is surrounded with a security fence. Great place for families or grey nomads like us.
Local Information:- Have to drive to shops a couple kilometres.
