This massive park, which is 750 metres long' has about 500 sites and is easily the biggest park I've ever seen. It is well run, neat and tidy. Some of the standard questions are difficult to answer for this park because it has 6 amenities blocks, multiple dump points and bin locations and things that are close to one end of the park are not close to the other. Its multiple kitchens vary in style, size and condition. Evans Head is known for wind, particularly in the afternoon and although the park is treed and sheltered, awnings need to be monitored. Post Covid there are good hand cleanser containers outside toilet blocks. There are dedicated areas for dogs and no dogs. Access to sites is easy even when busy. With a park of this size probably nothing is adequate at Christmas but everything is fine off season. $48 per night is not a bargain basement price for June. Water pressure at our site was just adequate.
Very friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $48 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, book swap available, wireless internet is available is free carrier used was Vodaphone, reception quality was 1. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Very friendly at reception and it's well run.
Parking:- It's limited to 2-3 simultaneous arrivals. Beyond that just block the road - you have no option.
Local Information:- Bakery in town makes a good pie. Evans Head coffee shops are a bit average - at least the ones we tried.

What a find this place was. Huge grassed and double slab sites available. The park is two parts - one near the surf club (which is where we were) and the second part near the river which seemed not to have slabs available. The amenities were great, very clean and spacious. Try the RSL for a huge meal. The Bowling Club had a creepy feel to it when we went for a drink. Powered site $36/night, 2A.
