Very pleasant and helpful lady in the office found us a fantastic site backing right onto the river. A great park ,short walk to town and clubs. A lot to see in this small town.

What a find this place was. Huge grassed and double slab sites available. The park is two parts - one near the surf club (which is where we were) and the second part near the river which seemed not to have slabs available. The amenities were great, very clean and spacious. Try the RSL for a huge meal. The Bowling Club had a creepy feel to it when we went for a drink. Powered site $36/night, 2A.

Now a member of the North Coast Holiday Parks organisation. Absolutely huge park in 3 sections. One section is for pet owners, one for non pet owners and the third section looks to be more relaxed camping style - in all around 500 sites. Many Annual holiday vans, some being removed this being the final year of a 5 year plan to increase tourist sites. Very well managed park, extremely popular with the Grey Nomads, Bowlo next door, shops walking distance & $35 p.n. We would love to return.

This is a lovely park. The staff were very friendly on our arrival and gave us lots of information about the park and the surrounds. We were in the main park on a large grassy site. Good value for money, we paid $32 2A PN powered site. Water, sullage and power were nearby. The amenities were excellent, close to all sites and very clean and in great condition. They had a dyson hand dryer in the amenities near our site - wow. Your mobile, wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Sites will accommodate medium to large vans and 5th wheelers. There is access to both the beach and the river thru gates and the shops were surprising - lots of them and a great seafood coop. This would be very crowded in the school holidays but would work well. Good night lighting. Dump point, large camp kitchen, secure entry in the main park, TV reception was fine even with the aerial down. Well maintained park suitable for longer stays.

As mentioned in previous reports, this park is huge. There is the larger main park and the reserve across the public car park. Don't let this put you off, this park ticks most of the boxes. The sites on the reserve are right on the river, and a minute from the shops, pub, RSL etc. these are all grass sites and would be great during the week and out of school holidays. The other section of the park is a mix of slab sites, ensuite sites, in a separate section, permanent holiday vans, cabins and relocatable homes. All are in good condition and well looked after. We stayed on a slab in the main section, which was fine. A good size site,a bit difficult to get onto due to a holiday dwelling opposite and the high gutters which are all over the park. The park was busy, the couple behind us had been there 3 months, as had many others. Despite the numbers, it was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay. Evans Head is a very pretty place. It is only a small town, so the CP being right in town is not a problem. School holidays though would be a completely different issue I would say. Excellent reception on arrival, very friendly and helpful, were given a variety of sites to choose from in both sections of the park. Amenities near us old but kept very clean. Would stay again without hesitation.
