Manager's name is Bronwyn
We requested a site close to the amenities. Bronwyn gave us a site at the extreme western end of the park with the comment "its not that far". And there were several unoccupied sites much closer. If we were staying for longer than a few days we would have asked for a change of site. Based on this service we will not be returning.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $32 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Paid $28.75, reduced for Top discount. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room, good camp kitchen, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Dog friendly, Modern clean amenities. Good value. Good COVID procedures. Neat grassy sites. Older outside camp kitchen and a new inside lounge/camp kitchen.
Disliked:- Mens urinal was modern but was the "no flush" type. At the end of the day it smelt like a "long drop" type. No TV reception. No dump point but public dump point just outside the front park boundary
Local Information:- Pioneer musuem open 7 days & not to be missed. Mouse plague - when we got to our next park we realised we had a few extra passengers in the car. (no fault of the park)

This park changed management app 12 months ago. Sorry, but I did not get the name of the new managers, but the gentleman we dealt with at check in was friendly and polite. Price was $31.50 pn pow with G'Day membership. The toilet block has been renovated, and the camp kitchen totally replaced. The camp kitchen is still outside, but has a couple of BBQs, sinks, fridge and hot plate. There was a number of tables and chairs for eating and socialising. We have not been for a couple of years, but believe a number of permanents have been removed, with nice looking cabins added. There appeared to be a new indoors kitchen/lounge but we were not told about it, so did not use it. It may have been for some new rooms which were nearby. The area is a pleasant area to visit, Gulgong itself being an historic town. Drives to other nearby towns. Dogs allowed on sites. Dump Point. As they say on their own website, further improvements underway.
