It was a pleasure to be back at this picturesque park after 4 years. Some minor site improvements were noted since our last visit. We were escorted to our roomy drive through site under falling autumn leaves knowing that we would not be awakened by traffic noise. This park has all the basics and no frills. It's a great Sydney/ Melb. stop over. At $30 for a powered site its good value.

This is a small park on the river. The sites are a large size and in warm weather you could take a site along the river and sit out the back of your van. There was quite a bit of grass on the sites when we stayed here but some sites also have river pebbles that you park the van on. There are free gas BBQ's. The amenities are a bit dated but they are cleaned well and the water pressure is good. The owners are friendly and have owned the park for 2 years. At $28/night for a powered site the price was reasonable.

Great little park on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Very friendly staff. Pat escorted us to our site, then help us back on and then proceed to place a piece of wood under the wheel so we were level. Have never had this service before. Amenities were spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot water, shower curtain in shower. No permanents. Lots of sites backed onto the river. $28 p/n 2 adults great value.

Liked:- The simplicity of the park. We paid $50 per night in Melbourne with all the bells and whistles which is fine if that's what you want. This park only $28 per night. And its right next to the river. The amenities are spotless and in excellent condition.
Disliked:- Nothing. Don't want to see the park change.
Parking:- Park near owners house.
Local Information:- Right next to the park is the old historic railway bridge and old road bridge. Gundagai has many attractions, an excellent museum for only $3 per adult which is crammed full of old photos, tools, machinery, sewing machines, old push bikes and kids toys, tractors, old lawn mowers the list is endless. Also Phar laps saddle cloth he wore on his last race in Mexico. There is also a restored railway station and the Doggy on the tucker box. Also if you get a key from the tourist information centre in town you can explore the old gaol. Visit Captain Moonlights grave at the cemetery. Take time to spend time in this lovely area. There is a Woolworths to get supplies and many other local shops. There are also 2 lookouts worth a look. We will be back!
