Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $70 for 2A PN, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, no rec room, basic camp kitchen, disabled facilities, dump point, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 1. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground, in average condition. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Plenty of open spaces, grassed areas, trees and animals. Relaxed atmosphere. Great location for a short or long stay. The Village is owned and operated by Seventh Day Adventist Church, there are camping and caravan sites, chalets and a large lodge for group/school bookings. Sites are large and easy to manoeuvre. No alcohol or smoking allowed anywhere on site.
Disliked:- A bit noisy early in the morning with everyone leaving for the snowfields but nothing too extreme. Apart from this the park is very quiet. Poor mobile and internet reception, even using the free wi-fi.
Parking:- Plenty of room - village is at the end of Tinworth Drive and parking area is inside the property. Plenty of room to park
Added Touches:- Open fires (in drum/pit) allowed at site. Mountain bike and bush walking trails. Kangaroos and wombats sighted during our stay. 18 hole Disc golf in the village.
Local Information:- 5 minute drive to Jindabyne town centre. Easy access to ski fields.
Road Conditions:- Turn off Barry Way into Tinworth Drive. Tarred road in poor condition all the way to Alpine Adventist Village but access no problem for all vehicles.
