No problems with the Park - amenities were good, staff excellent, easy walk into town (2 minutes). Only dislike was the road noise - arrived mid-afternoon and the trucks were never-ending, thought they would be more infrequent through the night but not to be. Problem partially solved by downing a couple of extra schooners. Having said all that would definitely stay again. Lovely town, nice people - especially the lady at the visitors centre - very helpful

Council owned small caravan park with a cheerful and helpful caretaker. Sixteen powered sites and a few unpowered tent sites. Level and well grassed sites, sullage points for hoses. Although close to the Mitchell Highway, being on town and on a bend, truck travel slowly and without using air brakes, so the location is surprisingly quiet. Indian Pacific railway line is across the highway, but trains were not noisy or not during the night. Old amenities block has been updated and is very well appointed with extras like shower curtain and mat in dressing area provided. Well designed with shower heads set sideways plus a ledge so there is no splashing into dressing area. Basins, large mirrors and power points. Key required for access to amenities to prevent public access due to location. Box for leaving key on departure if caretaker not there. Disability bathroom, but this was not inspected. Laundry with two washing machines, dryer, ironing board and iron, all fee free. Free electric barbecue in a roofed picnic area, with seating and a sink. Cabins. Dump point. Pets permitted. Molong has people who are approachable, friendly, and happy to talk to you; a pleasure to walk around this small town. Easy walk to main street alongside grocery store from the caravan park, and store is convenient for shopping being so close. We chose this pleasant environment rather than stay in Orange. $22.50 per night with a pay for two and get third night free offer. While booking in for two nights, we took up the offer and did stay the third night, touring the Orange area from this very pleasant small park.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $22.50 for 2A PN, powered. Paid $15, reduced for Stay three nights, pay for two offer. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room, basic camp kitchen, disabled facilities, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Cheerful welcome from caretaker to this pleasant park in a small town. Amenities very well designed and fitted out and kept clean. Laundry well equipped, and no cost to use machines or iron. Flat grassed sites. Some trees if shade preferred. Everything you need in this park. What more could you want?
Disliked:- Not really dislikes, but the only possible negatives would be: Being located on the Highway and near rail line, there is some traffic noise, but this is not loud. Remember to take your key to the amenities block.

Stayed here again this year, excellent valve for a small park ideal for overnight stop, nice little town to visit. The cost has gone up 50c from last year to $21.00. Very friendly managers. The shower block is very basic but clean.
