We gave our rating based on lack of facilities and a lack of cleanliness during our stay. $49 P/N 2A powered, off season, not good value at all. Location is good-right on a headland beside bay beach and river outlet and a short stroll to the shops. However this also leads it to be totally exposed to the elements which weren't kind during our stay. There is no pool, no BBQs, no camp kitchen and nowhere to congregate if meeting a group as the sites were quite snug also. The sites were difficult to get into as the park has a bit of a hill orientation and the roadways are narrow. Some manoeuvres around other peoples cars was required or else they moved them thankfully. The amenities looked in good condition, however they do have as previously reported the most ridiculous shower 'nubs' sticking only an inch out from the wall and the water pressure doesn't flow out much further. There is one shower per M/F with a nub that is slightly longer-wait to use that one or shower with your face against the tiles virtually with the others! Unfortunately the CP was in the process of changing management hands we were told, and that apparently meant cleaning was only on an ad hoc basis during our week. Yuck. There were signs everywhere about appropriate standards of behaviour, cleanliness and just about everything, it really was a bit much. As per a previous comment, there were several vans of regular stayers, and they were not friendly at all. We and our neighbours also had intermittent power issues the whole time, so we won't be back.

Excellent position right next to the water
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $36.50 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, very few sites are shaded, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, secure entry. Quiet, claustrophobic park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families.
Liked:- The position. Some sites have uninterrupted ocean views
Disliked:- Roads are starting to break up within the park a little you can twist an ankle if not careful. Some sites very hard to back into, the roads are very narrow. Very busy park. Limited facilities

Hard park to put a rating on. Very cliquey people stay here for 3 or 4 weeks in that they book every year in their own little groups and as such they get the prime sites. Very few sites available for us travellers and what are available are not the greatest as far as size, views etc. For us travellers one of the joys of caravaning is mixing with fellow travellers, but in this park it does not happen. Not a fault of the park, but just a comment. Given that we ended up with not the greatest as per above 44 bucks per night (powered 2A) not the best value park we have stayed in. Amenities have been updated and were clean etc. However the showers were as useless as two tits on a bull as they only spurt out about a half an inch of water from the head. Hate to be a big fellow having a shower. Magnificent location as walking distance from everything.
