This is a small park along the river. We stopped here for two nights. As you enter the park, turn right towards the check in office. Friendly guy who explained layout of park. The sites are small and difficult to get into. The park was almost full when we arrived. There are two amenity blocks. The larger one looks quite good and clean. The smaller one, on the northern side, is unusual. The showers are in one building and the toilets are public ones. This town is very small, though they have a chemist, butcher, post office and grocer and a few placed to eat. The Tavern was great for a meal and a few drinks. The bowlo was very busy on the Friday night when they do Chinese. There is not much to do here except fishing. You can walk across the bridge through the dunes to the beach. We were advised not to swim in the river or at the beach, too dangerous. We paid $31/night for a powered site (pensioner). This is a council park.

Another pleasant few days spent at this great little park. Choice of sites. River front on slabs under trees or grassy more spacious sites away from trees. It rained for 3 days while we were there but the ground is sandy & didn't get boggy. Amenities old but clean. Pets permitted out of school holidays.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, book swap available, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Right on the river. Good spot for kayaking & canoeing. Short 10 min pleasant walk over the bridge to the ocean. Dog friendly.
Disliked:- Discount offered to pensioners but not seniors. Council decision.
Local Information:- Good fish & chips from local shop.

Previous reports cover this park very well. Park is now dog friendly in non-peak times. $34/night powered. Grassy sites away from the waterfront, not as many trees. Waterfront sites, sandy, tighter and not suitable for satellite dish TV. Council run park where the Eastern toilets are public toilets (always clean).

This is a lovely spot to stay. The park is along a river and a short walk to the beach. The town is small and very quite. The park is well maintained with several free BBQ's with heavy steel plates. It is a nice quite park with plenty of large trees and lots of birds. There is no road noise. Worth staying for a few day with nice views across the river from many powered sites. $34/night powered site.
