$43 P/N including a booking fee is we think excellent value for the amenities in this park and its location close to the city of Sydney. There are several different sections, and they put a bit of planning into situating vans, campers, and whizz bangs in separate sections. Great initiative. We had a spacious site with concrete slab that was easy to get into. 4 amenity blocks, tried them all in our week and never had a bad experience. Cleaning standards have improved since our last visit and 2 of the blocks have been updated; but other 2 are perfectly functional. Pool was clean, dump point provided. Excellent TV, internet and phone reception. Short walk to the train station and we had seamless, clean travel using the train several times. Park is convenient to the M2 off ramp, and we recommend using the M7 if coming from south as the toll far outweighs the time, stop/start and stress of using the free roads. Some aircraft noise on some days, but hey if you are a plane spotter you are going to love it!

We have stayed here at this park several times. It is still a fantastic place to stay in Sydney as so close to the rail line and it is located "in the bush". Poor cleanliness in the ablutions is its biggest weakness, but we can live with these given the benefits of the location. The ablutions are cleaned well each morning but seem to deteriate quickly as old and poorly designed. Price now increased from $30 a night to well over $40 a night with new management. At least this gives lots more spaces as not so much demand from those who come here every year !! We rate this park a 4 due to the amazing size of the sites and the wonderful wildlife - not the ablutions. We really love staying here. To have access to the great city ogf Sydney with all its tourist sites for such a low price is amazing.
Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $40 for 2A, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, mobile wireless not available carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Clean pool, pool is shaded, tables and chairs provided.

Just a short report to let everyone know that this park has just put up its prices. $42 per night for a powered site, 2.5% booking fee plus NO 7th night free as it has been on ALL our other visits. Disgusted with this government owned park being so greedy like this!! Wont be staying as often as we did any more. Might look at other options too next time!

This park is not far from where we live, but is great if we have to come back to Sydney in the middle of a trip when we have a reason to be in Sydney for appointments etc. We stayed two nights, and reckon its the place to go for visitors to Sydney. A bus stop and a station are close by, the Lane Cove River National Park is a real oasis in the big city (great walks too), and its just off the M2 freeway. The office was busy, but I was served quickly, and staff were friendly. Don't try to arrive without a booking - the place was full both nights. The roadways throughout the huge caravan park & camping areas are well sealed and sign posted, and the four amenities blocks, the pool, the camp kitchens and barbecue areas attractive and well maintained. The dump point is ok but not as user friendly as the blue ones most commonly used now, and there are no ensuite sites.

Brilliant park close proximity to Sydney Trains at amazing price. So lovely to be camping in the bush when you're in the biggest city in Australia. Walking distance to the train station to access all the trains, light rail and ferries. No need to drive your car at all. Lots of wildlife and birds. Loads of backpackers who are in their camper vans and so very friendly. The rubbish bin lids are ikky and ablutions not as clean as some but given the benefits this is an amazing park at an affordable price

Simply a fantastic location - unbeatable value for Sydney accommodation.
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $39 for 2A 2C, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean pool, pool is shaded, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- The sites are generous. The park is huge and was very full but didn't feel crowded most of the time. Even though you are a couple of blocks from the North Ryde business district, the park feels like it is in the bush.
Disliked:- The pool was very crowded with high school groups which made it quite unsafe for little kids. One amenity block was closed for maintenance when we were there, which was unfortunate timing (two weeks after Christmas) but perhaps unavoidable.
Parking:- Only one car allowed on site per booking and limited parking on the road for visitors/second vehicle and a long way from where your van or tent might be.
Added Touches:- Part of the national park.
Local Information:- Its a short walk to the train station - very convenient for the city with trains running every 15 or so minutes most of the day.

Good, well treed park in the middle of Sydney, on the fringe of the national park. Under the flight path of Sydney airport, so planes drone overhead constantly. Train station within walking distance. Short drive to shopping centres. Poor showers that do not have separate dry area, water flows out from most of them, although some seem to have better drainage angle. Dump point, tv room.

Beautiful treed surroundings, busy park but quiet and private. Best to book ahead and make sure you tell them the size of your van. There are limited sites for big rigs. Cost was $39 per night for 2 adults, if you stay a week the 7th night is free. We received a discount as we are seniors so paid $35.10. Very nice amenities, clean and in good condition, soap and dryer available. Water, sullage and power close by. Lots of slabs, some a little high so take care reversing in. Nice pool. Camp kitchen not close to all sites, dump point, secure entry. Suitable for a week or more.
