Having a small rig meant a powered site at the eastern end closest to the break wall. The sites are really tight and a bit up and down. No concrete slabs here. Amenities at this end of the park consist of about 10 separate toilet/ shower combos which are clean and seem to work well. Quiet at night even though the road is nearby. Dump site is up this end.

This park is very old park. It sits on reclaimed land, where you park your van used to have boats and the walking track next to park was actually a break wall with a railway track on top of it to tend the boats. The amenities while old are very clean and everything works sits in the middle of the park. Cabins are roomy and clean. Sites are normal size. One end of the park has extra toilets and showers and the other has just some extra toilets. There a few BBQ huts placed around the park. The pool is simple, not shaded. Camp kitchen has only a fridge and microwave and a kettle. Laundry has a good number of washing machines. Because of the town being so close by the party goers at the local pub were a little noisy on the Saturday night but didn't cause too much of a problem.
$38 for 2A. Paid $33, reduced for Pension discount. Sites will accommodate medium to large vans. carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 4.
Liked:- Location and staff friendliness.
Disliked:- No security, no boom gates and there is a walkway along side of park that anyone can use.
Parking:- Plenty of parking for check in
Local Information:- Walking track next to park easy access to beach and break wall. Ferry leaves from wharf to Iluka. Walk to town centre from the entrance, camping shops and take aways only minutes walk from park.

This is an update on our last report. Still no improvements to the park. Council just taking their time, the park may fall down before they get their act together and do something. The playground was being done up while we were there, lovely new equipment but the shade cover does not cover the new equipment. Amenities were cleaned but not a lot that you can do when they are so old. The rating is for the location.

Still nothing happening with update to park. Plans rejected and now back with Council to come up with something else. Desperately needed. Amenities were clean just very old. Stayed this time in the end of the park closest to the Bowling Club. There is 1 shower and 2 toilets at this end of the park. Rating relates to the position of the park to beaches, shops etc. All within walking distance.

The sites are all relatively flat with larger vans down one end where the sites are a little more spacious. The more crowded end has better facilities but they are showing signs of lots of use. The facilities in the middle of the park are old, not very inviting but the showers have lots of hot water and good pressure. Friendly staff and helpful. Reasonable value at $30 for a powered site and one free night if you stay for a week. Nice town. Good golf facilities and good bowls club. The pub is worth a visit and refreshment for the view. We will stay again and put up with the average facilities.

Loved the new amenities block. The old ones are really outdated. Sites are tight. Our van is 17 ft had a bit of trouble getting into the site. Park is very handy to town. Quiet park. Over all a nice relaxed park.

We have not been to this park for 18 months, nothing has changed the amenities are just getting older. The front section nearest to the beaches the amenities are ok but there are no other facilities up there at all except for the dump point. The word is that the park is to have a complete overhaul. New amenities, camp kitchen etc, this cannot come soon enough. The rating is for the location of the park. You don't have to use your car. You can walk to beaches, shops etc. We paid $180 per week, with a seniors discount stay 7 nights pay for 6.
