We just spent 4 weeks here and agree with previous reports. We stayed in the "old" part of the park on a nicely shaded site with some grass. The site wasn't huge but adequate. The "new" part of the park is still a work in progress - larger sites but most in direct sunshine. And Darwin in July is hot. Anyway, you have a choice of sunny or shady. The staff are great - reception helpful and the groundsmen guiding you in and keeping the place tidy. Pool was perfect after a bike ride or on a hot afternoon. Nice cafe which was open most days. The park was fairly quiet apart from some aircraft noise and some noise from the race track when there was something on. Darwin was a great place to visit - plenty to see and do. Excellent bike paths into the city and along the coast. Bus at the top of the road takes you into the city (free for seniors).

Well organised,, pleasant, tropical gardened and conveniently located are adjectives that describe this park. As is often the case in the territory, the barbeques and kitchen are combined, under a roof, but without walls. The noise from military aircraft is loud and invasive but not frequent. It is about 15 mins drive to the CBD. This is not a cheap park but is continually maintained and good value for money. The pool is very cloudy but some maintenance is under way and this may not normally be the case. A large extension with many powered sites will open in June 2019. Even without it there are about 40 powered sites with ensuites.
