Liked:- Conveniently placed. Roadhouse, Bar etc Typical outback establishment for high level tourists.
Disliked:- The " unpowered sites" are obviously for "poor people" who can't afford powered sites. This is where the septic outlets to the ground are seriously uneven dusty sites with limited shade. They are the furthest away from the ablutions and right at the furthest possible strip of unkempt land from the amenities. I joked to other campers as to when the next bus arrived for the ablutions run.
Parking:- No.
Road Conditions:- Main highway Blacktop.

This roadhouse was good value at $35 for 2 in a powered site with water. All sites are drive though, most vans can stay hooked up. We had grass and shade on each visit. It was a pleasant atmosphere and for a place in the middle of nowhere, they did very well. It felt clean and open, the meals were generous, the groceries were definitely overpriced (transport costs included, still don't give a huge mark up on groceries). The people were friendly and this is a good place to stay on the way in and on return from Uluru.

This park is relatively new. A lot of work is being done to promote tourists to stop over from south or north. A sunset lookout was being completed on the day we stayed. . Motel units are plentiful as well. The restaurant food is fantastic. At the time we stayed the Chef makes daily the best Apple Turnovers with custard and apple, that we have ever tasted. The Emu's are being bred for a tourists interests. These can be photographed and you can feed them as well. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a convenient overnight stay if your are travelling between Coober Pedy and Alice Springs/Uluru. Do not expect a five star resort. We paid $32 per night for 2 which considering the remoteness is average value for money. The amenity block is very large but in desperate need of upgrading, the sites are drive-through with varying stages of grass. The park is really only suitable for an overnight stay. There is a nice swimming pool and happy hour in the bar every evening.
