Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $36 for 2A PN, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, dump point, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Noisy, claustrophobic park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Clean pool, pool is shaded, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Grassy sites. Dog friendly. Park was packed with semi-permanent fishermen and the fish were biting, so the topic of conversation at the camp kitchen was obvious.
Disliked:- Always a queue at the amenities & washing machines. Free wifi only functional near the pool area

Great caravan park...very personal and very quiet at night. Stayed at Alva Beach Caravan Park for three nights.Very nice park and very easy access. Its 15km from Ayr but otherwise a great spot. One must walk down the road (500meters) and check out the beach. It is great at low tide,BUT be aware of the signs around for when the tide comes in. There is a good amenities block, the only complaint is that the bench for the showers is big enough to stick your toilet bag on only. The laundry is also OK and the machines take a $2:00 and 2X $1:00 .Only one complaint there and for all the vans there is only two washing machines.Lise stated that due to the fact that many caravans now have washing machines built in that she is losing money. There is a dump point there as well.Water was no problems.close to your van. With grey water, well you water the plants/trees near your site. Most overnight sites have got a slab and many of the seasoned fishermen also have got a slab. There are a few campers who are just grass. It was pleasant there so no need for heating at night... Lisa and her hubby were great hosts and they made sure that you were well looked after.Internet is wireless,if you are lucky.I didn't even think to hook up but hey "thems the breaks" .Telephone either Vodaphone or Telstra.I had one bar on Vodaphone and 1 bar on Telstra. There is an NBN tower nearby BUT no one is able to access it at present.
