The two new managers, who are brothers, only took over a few days ago. The amenities block looked a little tired and less than clinically hygienic. Sites are not well delineated. They are also inconsistent in frontage but they are grassed. A rare thing in western Queensland. The free daily entertainment at 4.30pm is good and the billy tea and damper, also at 4.30, has been upgraded to fruitcake. The park needs an infrastructure investment as does the whole town but it's still pretty good for $26 per night. Noise from the nearby main road is audible but not enough to wake you.
Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $26 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to all sites, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. No rec room, basic camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, no wireless internet available. carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Conveniently located. It's a 300m walk to shpos/servo.
Local Information:- There are 5 pubs within walking distance. Their culinary skills are between limited and absent. Much of the place closes at lunchtime on Saturday.
