This is a large park, we were there about three weeks before the racers and the management seemed to be jamming all campers into one section of the park, this made it hard for some.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Poor value for money $40.00 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, no sites are shaded, adequate taps close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen. Quiet, claustrophobic park, inadequate shade, no permanent or annual vans. Suitable for few days.

The park is easily found as you drive into Birdsville and is not far from the famous Birdsville Pub. This is a no frills but very well run bush caravan park. The managers and staff are friendly and helpful, offering arrivals a choice of sites. It is rather difficult to rate the park as it is possibly unfair to compare a park in such an isolated and dry environment with those in easier locations. Don't expect grass. However we felt that $30 a night was a fair charge there for a reasonable sized site, plenty of water both hot and cold, very clean and well maintained amenities, including a good laundry. The water is of good drinking quality and is suitable for refilling tanks. It provides a welcome break for a few days after long and dusty travel from all directions. The park is dog friendly and has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. There is a very large open area for unpowered camping as well as about 50 powered sites. There is no dump point in the park but there is one at the entrance to town coming from Windorah.
