Liked:- This park is friendly plus. A happy hour around the camp fire happens every night and is well attended, and a great bit of fun. Charlie keeps the fire going and is only too happy to prepare a bed of coals for a camp oven (which you can borrow). The pristine amenities are some of the best we have ever encountered, and unusually, they are unisex. Most sites are very long. The atmosphere was fantastic.
Parking:- As you drive into the property for a couple of hundred metres, there is no issues at all in parking.
Added Touches:- Free camp ovens, free damper on some nights, cheap roast meals provided some nights. We took the Fires and Floods Tour which gave a great insight into the effects the floods had on Charleville, it was very enjoyable.
Local Information:- Charleville has quite a few attractions that can be discovered at the pleasant information centre.
Road Conditions:- Good, sealed roads to the gate where it turns into a solid based dirt driveway.

As described by others. A most pleasant spacious park. Do not confuse this with the Charleville Bush Camp (Owned by the same couple and on the same property but accessed from a different road and much more basic - see separate report)

What a fabulous park. Reason for No Smoking is encouraged by the Qld Government. The bush and grasses in Qld is very volatile. Dog policy in park is because there are a lot of birds and kangaroo's roaming freely around park. A research was conducted by owners Graham and Deb and it was found that a lot of caravaners did not want dogs barking and also noted that owners did not pick up after them. About 80% did the right thing, We have truly enjoyed our 3 days stay here, so restful and peaceful.

Bush environment caravan park, easy check in, $28. All drive through sites would accommodate all rigs, no slabs, no grass, dusty. Excellent, very clean amenities, hand wash and paper towels. Good camp kitchen and $3 honesty box washing machines, no dryer. Fire pit lit nightly. Although Charleville is dry, could do with some grass and or paving around amenities area.
