We stayed at this park 6 years ago. Sites are large and level but during this stay the sites were very dusty as they don't water the sites so there is no grass, just lots of fine dust. If the sites were not so dusty I would rate this park higher but the lower rating is due to the unpleasant nature of the amount of dust at the sites. The common area where the amenities, camp fire and camp kitchen are located is well watered so it was lovely and grassy. Amenities are very nice and clean. They have a large camp fire every day and vary activities. Sunday night is pizza night and they light a pizza oven and you can cook pizza in it. The sites would be more plesant if they have cement slabs or road base to provide a nice area to sit out on.

Liked:- Semi rural location, bush appearance and feel of campsite, friendly welcome and continued friendly interaction from camp hosts and helpers. Quality and clean amenities and facilities. A good social gathering each evening around the camp fire where damper is cooked each evening. Other meals such as a catered for meal at very reasonable cost or a pizza night (BYO) further enhance the social aspect. Roomy drive through sites.
Disliked:- Not a dislike, but some feel a little uncomfortable about the unisex amenities blocks, although the showers and toilets are fully enclosed; no gaps over or under doors. Just as a notification, payment is cash only, no card facilities.
Parking:- Plenty of room
Added Touches:- Damper by the campfire every night. Camp oven dinners and pizza nights.
Local Information:- Charleville has a lot of history. A visit to the Cosmos centre a mist and what brings many to Charleville.

Liked:- This park is friendly plus. A happy hour around the camp fire happens every night and is well attended, and a great bit of fun. Charlie keeps the fire going and is only too happy to prepare a bed of coals for a camp oven (which you can borrow). The pristine amenities are some of the best we have ever encountered, and unusually, they are unisex. Most sites are very long. The atmosphere was fantastic.
Parking:- As you drive into the property for a couple of hundred metres, there is no issues at all in parking.
Added Touches:- Free camp ovens, free damper on some nights, cheap roast meals provided some nights. We took the Fires and Floods Tour which gave a great insight into the effects the floods had on Charleville, it was very enjoyable.
Local Information:- Charleville has quite a few attractions that can be discovered at the pleasant information centre.
Road Conditions:- Good, sealed roads to the gate where it turns into a solid based dirt driveway.
