This is a very good caravan park. It is quite large and offers a variety of sites slab, grass, drive thru etc. Manager guides you to your site. Despite a very dry period in this area, the park is very well maintained, albeit not a lot of grass around, but they are certainly trying to do their best. There are 2 amenities blocks, showers are in a separate room from the toilets in the one we used. They were both in good condition and kept clean. Scones and Billy Tea were offered around the camp fire area on one morning during our stay, also a short spiel on the history of Charters Towers. This is a busy park at this time of the year, so booking would definitely be advised. 5 minute drive to town, the place has a nice feel about it. Great views from Towers Hill. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very helpful staff, with the park full by lunch time, many new arrivals opting for unpowered sites. Park well laid out, slabs or grass sites. 2 amenities blocks strain to cope with the morning rush from a full park, but were always kept clean. Helpful staff available to solve any problems. Owner working continuously to keep park tidy. Very reasonable price with Big 4 discount.

Delightful park. All amenities good, adequate and clean. Staff all very friendly. Had a lovely band playing on the night we arrived. Were to stay two nights, ended up staying four. Charters Towers a delight to visit. Historic and outback - it was a very refreshing place. Rather dry, but much of Queensland suffering drought conditions. All previous reports about this site were justified. When back this way, will come back to this spot. No negatives at all.

This BIG4 park is near the outskirts of Charters Towers, in a well wooded area with minimal traffic noise., and is well signposted. Check in was friendly and simple, and we were led to our site by park staff. That was helpful, as the park is not laid out in columns and rows, but in a more random fashion. Each site has good access and generally a good amount of space, and pleasant outlook. There are two lots of toilet blocks, well maintained and with good sized showers, and a dump point. There was a sausage sizzle and entertainment in the evening, and it was well attended. Shops and fuel are not too far away, and while we stayed for just one night would be happy to stay longer.
