I've rated this as 3 mainly due to crowded situation of sites. Other wise everything else is good . A well maintained Park but water temp in showers could be knocked up a touch. The grassed powered sites to the right hand side on entry are OK and that is what ill insist on next visit.

This is a good clean park. Bit of a mix up with park rules regarding walking dogs in park. Was told the rules were put in place by previous owners and the new lady had not read the rules herself. Yes you can walk your dog in the park as long as you pick up after.
Friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $34.00 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic camp kitchen, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, claustrophobic park, adequate shade. Clean BBQs. Clean pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.

Staff very helpful and informative. Expertly guided onto site. En suite pre fab looking rather scruffy on the outside but nicely renovated inside. Park being maintained with shade to most sites. A clean tidy park.

$34 p/n pwd 2A reduced to $30.60 TT discount. We were assisted onto a shady, level site with concrete slab surrounded with lush grass. Amenities were clean and close to our site but perhaps a bit of a walk from some of the boundary sites. Good laundry and open air camp kitchen. Dump point, shaded pool and tidy grounds. A great place and town to while away a few days.

This is your typical older caravan park in Queensland where the sites are small and narrow and you are jammed in on top of one another. At this park they have taken the art of jamming in as many sites as you can into an area as possible. The first night we were here one person was cornered into their site and could get out until some moved their car! It was quite amazing to see you tightly packed the sites were. They have a pool, camp kitchen. Lions local club does cheap 3-course meals 2 nights/week and someone does music in the camp kitchen 3 afternoons/week. The camp kitchen is open so you can get a bit wet when it rains - it has several BBQs that are free and some table and chairs. The amenities are a long walk from some sites. They are a demountable but they have been nicely renovated inside and are cleaned well. You do not get much road noise at this park. Phone and TV reception are good and there is a dump point. The new managers started working at this park in March 2016 and they do not give you good instructions about the location of power, water, etc when they put you on the site.

Helpful staff. clean amenities. Far enough off the main road to keep the noise down. A lot of history to be found around this town, spend some time here.

Probably the best CP in Charters Towers, friendly management. Large undercover camp kitchen area. Looks like portable (old) amenities. Management will try to get as many vans in as possible, depending on the evening. Good social hour with bush poet this month. Twice a week there was an excellent Scout dinner for $15 a head. Requested we take our dog outside the park to excercise and could not be left unattended, which was a bit of a pain really.

Ok stay here. Water good. Price was about $33 from memory. Good large back in site where we stayed hitched up. Had a dinner on by Rotary in the camp kitchen for from memory $15 per head. Owners have been doing work on the park for a few years now and it is quite attractive. Dump point, pet friendly. Would stay again.
