2K out of town on Lynd Hwy, next to golf course. First park in Charters Towers coming from The Lynd. Ph: 07 4787 1121. Family Parks member. Pets allowed at discretion of manager.

Still a great park. Nothing much has changed in 12 months. Price is now $35/night 2A powered which is seniors discounted but you need to ask for the discount. Strictly no arrivals before 11AM. Free fruit cake offered on arrival. Venus Gold battery worth a visit

Very friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $33 for 2A, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, dump point, book swap available, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Clean pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Open & relaxed park, friendly owners. Free- range Chickens, eggs available to buy, herbs around the park, help yourself. A range of games to borrow, quoits, bocce, scrabble etc.
Disliked:- Extra cost for using credit card.
Parking:- None
Added Touches:- Given some slice (date slice on arrival). Sauna next to the pool, jumping pillow for kids.
Local Information:- A couple of kms from town, plenty to see & do, historic buildings, museums, drive-in movies, pubs, restaurants.
Road Conditions:- Easy access off Gregory Highway.

Hard to fault this park. Everything neat & clean. Friendly managers. Big undercover camp kitchen. Lots of grass. Dog friendly.

Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Excellent playground, in good condition. Clean pool, pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- The grass. After spending a month or so in central Queensland who are going thru a bad drought it was great to see lush grass.
Parking:- Entry & exit is only one lane. But plenty of room to park outside.
Added Touches:- Chooks wander around the park in the afternoon. Adds a bit of character and the eggs are for sale at the office.
Local Information:- For those traveling with a dog, it is an offense to walk your dog in the CBD of Charters Towers.
Road Conditions:- Poor road from Richmond. Sealed, two lanes but bumpy.
