I would have rated it higher but we unwisely chose a drive through site and the layout was terrible. The drive throughs are nose to tale and about a metre apart. The taps and drains are too far from the vans and the whole thing is claustrophobic. You will need to drive to all shops and services unless you like walking....a lot. There are plenty of non drive through sites. Choose on of them. The majority of sites are workers cabins but the occupants cause no inconvenience. We never saw them. Emerald is a nice town; mostly clean and modern with a nice bakery. There are no emeralds at Emerald but nearby at Sapphire there are plenty of sapphires. The town is one big tourist attraction. Do the mine tour.

Back again for another visit 12 months on and still very much the same but this time on the gravel at the back end of golf course on drive thru sites. Much nicer with no trees still good value at $210 for a week or $35 pm. Easy drive to shops with bowls club and pool next door.

Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade. Suitable for few days, well maintained park.
Liked:- Handy to pool across the road. Amenities consist of a number of "en suites" in a block containing toilet and shower
Disliked:- There is a proliferation of cabins to service mine workers - certainly more cabins and dongers than sites in my opinion. Miners/external workers were not noisy
Road Conditions:- Lots on B doluble trucks hauling grain and coal so care is need on roads esp if road has not been widened

Previous reports cover this park very well. $35/night 2A powered. Tight drive thru sites with slabs. Only some sites shaded. Low water pressure and $10 key deposit for clean ensuite style amenities. Friendly & helpful managers. Next to golf course that served meals each night & allowed dogs to be walked on the edge of the course. Lots of cabins, mostly for workers who were quiet while we were there.
