Run down park needs a lot of TLC Motel does not appear to be operating and cafe is closed. Access to park is best from a side street opposite refinery/fuel depot Manager took my money and then went away for 3 nights - no back up staff
Average staff friendliness. Reasonable value for money $20 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Poor laundry, no wireless internet available.. Noisy, open & roomy park, no permanent/annual vans. No BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for overnighter.
Disliked:- Untidy grounds, no lids on bins - crows picked through bins and rubbish scattered everywhere. Only 1 washing machine working. Oil refinery across the road runs 24 hours per day and noise is intrusive. Enter park from side street opposite refinery No office so you have to walk around park to find manager if he is in site
Local Information:- NO foodstuffs can be purchased at Eromanga. Royal Hotel does meals. Diesel at fuel depot was $1.34 per litre No servos in town Town museum is interesting with film showing development of Eromanga get key from Hotel. Dinosaur museum (3km out of town) is attracting tourists and costs range from $30 to $90
Road Conditions:- Narrow bitumen in some sections and shoulders boggy after rain Be aware of bulk fuel road trains -up to 4 trailers in length
