From the minute I walked up the loose and creaking stairs at the rudimentary reception, I should have known . Never pay without looking first. No site information or assistance. "Just go anywhere". Sites are not marked. Some have water and no power and vice versa. Your presence here is an inconvenience. Maintenance is an unfamiliar term and the mud prints in the shower don't instill confidence. Free camp or go to the next town.
Unfriendly staff. Poor value for money $30 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were dirty, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites. No rec room, no camp kitchen, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Dirty UC gas BBQs are free, dismal bbq area atmosphere. No playground. No pool.
Liked:- Leaving.
Disliked:- Almost everything.

There is a cluster of arranged power sites around the amenities. Elsewhere in the park pick a shady spot and plug in. Everything here is tired and old. Amenities are dirty with no soap or paper towels. Good water pressure hot and cold. Camp kitchen consists of a dirty bbq. We had telstra mobile ok. Pub next door. I'm told its good. At $30 per night its over charging. Ok for a night after a long drive.

We stayed at this green oasis for 1 night on our way north. The area has not had rain for 3 years. The fee of $30 p.n. for a powered site for two was reasonable. We were able to choose our own shady site and had good spacing away from other vans. The amenities are good, but no tv, phone or internet. You can get phone/internet reception if you stand right beside the office. Unfortunately, there is not much to see around Greenvale and we were told that you cannot visit the old nickel mine site. We consoled ourselves with a beer at the three rivers pub, which has a lovely beer garden area. A good place to stay for a night or two.

This park is amazingly well set up, in a tiny town that was once a 3000 strong mining community. Camping is free form, with a large area of flat sites near power boxes and hook up water, as well as some conventional slabbed sites. Amenities are bright and clean, with a bonus of ceramic tap washers usually only found in flash hotels. There is a dump point and laundry. The welcome was bright and quick, notwithstanding having to press the button to ring a very loud hooter to summon the staff! There is a congenial friendly atmosphere in the park, and the roadhouse, hotel, golf course and a couple of shops are within walking distance. A good overnight stop, and if you have some reason to stay longer, its a pleasant park to do so.
