Jessie (the owner) does a monologue every couple of nights in the shed. You will laugh. You can include dinner for $20ish. The dump point is across the road. The sites are pretty squeeze for a 6 metre van but Jessie's backing directions are good. Ilfracombe is a good dormitory spot for Longreach.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered, peak season. Paid $31, reduced for 3 night deal. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. No wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Parking:- Just drive in.
Added Touches:- Discount vouchers for Longreach.
Local Information:- 50 metres to good pub food.

DFP. Cost was $30 per night for a powered site or $25 if you stay three nights. Large sites, many with slabs which was nice to get out of the dust. Spotless amenities. Large shed with a fire lit each night and the owners, Kathy and Jesse, were great at jokes, bush tales with a country delivery that had guests laughing so hard they had tears. Suggest you book ahead because this park was booked out every night. Not hard to see why when you compare it to the Blackall CP charging $32 and crammed in door to door.
