Ok for a campground if you like crowds. Like all Qld riverside campgrounds, the base is hard-packed river mud that turns to grey dust after awhile. There are two areas: the main one near the bridge, well-signed and orderly; and the "overflow" area across the road to the east where vans park hotch-potch. Both are certified campgrounds because they are mentioned on the rules and regulations board at the main one. There are two resident roosters that do their best to wake you before sunrise at the main campground, so we opted to camp closer toward the railway crossing (there was 1 train per day which did not come at sunrise!). The main area is $5 per day (because of the basic facilities nearby) whereas the overflow is free. There are 2 signed potable water taps along the fence into the picnic area in the main area.
