"Bushy in appearance" is a descriptor for this park. It looks a little scraggy on approach but it's not. Apparently every powered site has an ensuite. Not bad for $30 per night. There is a nicely crafted fire pit which seems to be lit by staff each night. The internal roads are spacious....take a photo; you won't see it again. All powered sites are drive through. Despite being 200m away, nocturnal traffic noise on the main road is not intrusive. Not great for little kids but a well planned park.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff helped us at the site. Very good value for money $30 for 2A PN. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, dry change area. Adequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic camp kitchen, van parking, no wireless internet available. carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 2. Quiet, open & roomy park, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Parking:- Drive in and park on left opposite office.

What a great park. Well set out, managers very friendly and we managed to arrive on a Friday night when they have a 3 course Camp Oven Dinner, tomato soup and main course - brisket stew prepared by the Anglican Vicar and his helpers; desert was Apple Strudel prepared by the camp owner. All this for $15.00 per person. Wow what a night. All proceeds go to the Anglican parish and there were 70 of us there.

Liked:- Only 1 km from centre of town. Artesian spas about 200m away.
Disliked:- We were near the road and although it was noisy at times you really didn't notice it after awhile
Parking:- Parking available
Added Touches:- Morning teas every Friday and usually held at Artesian Spas, we missed it but was informed the food was plentiful and delicious
Local Information:- Not a lot of things in Mitchell to do although there was the camel and pig racing on the Saturday.
Road Conditions:- Good, no shoulders at times but plenty of overtaking areas.

Park is right beside the highway so quite noisy although trucks not as busy at night. Sites are narrow and either dirt or bitumen with no sullage, although power and bore water are handy. Amenities block is a demountable and consists of about 6 unisex virtual ensuites which are very dated. Camp kitchen is a very basic open air affair. Steer clear of the ensuite sites if you don't wish to have your awning facing your neighbor's awning. However easy walk to town and artesian baths are worth doing.

Ensuite site $35.00, only $5.00 more than a powered site. Average cleanliness. Friendly staff. Great artesian baths in town, just over the bridge from the park.
