There is NO POTABLE WATER available at Noccundra. You need to bring your own. Hotel does NOT sell water No mobile phone reception and no internet reception Wilson River free camp is .7km from toilets at public hall or motr depending where you camp Need to book if wanting a powered site
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $28.50 for 2A, powered. Amenities are close to all sites, were dirty, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area. Mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, no sites are shaded, adequate sullage close by. Noisy, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- There are 4 powered sites where we were but in reality could only fit 2 vans History of hotel great staff and locals
Disliked:- Cost of meals and alcohol but this has to be expected here Only one shower toilet facility but as only 2 vans no major problem. If motel units in use could become a problem. No showers/toilets in motel units near us. Pub's doberman dog roams and twice attacked my dog when I was walking her on a leash.
Parking:- Pull up outside pub and go in to bar to book in
Local Information:- Good info on road conditions to Dig Tree and Innamincka. Fishing in Noccundra Waterhole
Road Conditions:- Some sections of narrow bitumen, soft shoulders after rain Dirt road on way to Dig Tree and 47kms dirt gravel toad to Innamincka
