Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $32.00 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No playground. Suitable for overnighter.
Liked:- Good size sites with tap/power handy. It's an excellent park for those who own van and ignore the amenities bock.use the ensuite in their
Disliked:- Lousy amenities block, made with rusty corrugated iron. The showers were medium size plastic cubicle. These face into a common drying area. Two of them faced each other with a flattened piece of ridge capping forming a stub wall between them about half a metre gap away from the cubicle. The drying area has no privacy and part of it is viewable from the door of the block. - The navigator says we will not be back.
Added Touches:- Good restaurant at the motel.
Local Information:- We stayed there to ride the Gulflander train.
Road Conditions:- Good bitumen in from the Atherton Table Land and Cloncurry, although some of it is single lane bitumen.

Very helpful owners. Most sites are set between shady trees. Gravel with concrete annex slabs. Basic amenities with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Swimming pool behind the motel. Dump point. Friday nights they run a prawn happy hour. By a drink at the bar and get a bowl of fresh cooked prawns free. They also show an old movie about the lady croc hunter who shot the big croc near the information centre. The park was very busy while we were there. Suggest you book ahead.
