park was hit hard by cyclone Debbie earlier in the year and the previous managers, in april when we wanted to book, were not too interested in providing info as to when it would be operational again. the new managers have done a great job in getting it going again. it will be even better when the council pool next door is operational again. park is quiet with the odd exception of a couple of train hooters in the night. no traffic noise at all.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, car wash, dump point, secure entry, van parking, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Liked:- walking distance to the golf club, and more works going on to upgrade park.
Disliked:- the council pool next to the park was really hit by debbie, but repairs underway.

This is a council run park beside the public pool. The sites are reasonably generous in size and all sites are level and some have cement slabs. The amenities are cleaned well. There is a small camp kitchen with a free BBQ. There is no road noise at this park and you can hear the odd train in the distance. There is a dump point and the TV and phone reception are good. It is usually $29/night for powered site but during 1June to 30 September this increases to $36/night which we thought was a bit expensive given there are few facilities provided at the park. We enjoyed staying at this park and would stay here again if we return to Proserpine again.

Nice place, friendly people, easy access. Toilets and showers clean. We were here helping our daughter move house and had to stay longer to get her some things and the park management went out of their way to assist us at no charge. Nice big pool, grand kids had a ball.
