The amenities are very old and quite cramped with not a lot of room to change or put your clothes when in the shower. Amenities could do with a serious upgrade. The sites are quite small to negotiate - we had a drive through and had to drive out onto the road then drive into our site although it was nice having the wooden barriers between sites for a bit of privacy. The park was a little noisy due to cattle trucks driving through town.
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. $53 for 2A 2C PN, powered. Paid $47.70, reduced for Chain Discount - Top Tourist. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, there was adequate hot water. Inadequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, very few sites are shaded, drive-through sites, hard to negotiate into site. Good camp kitchen, no wireless internet available.. Noisy, claustrophobic park, inadequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Close to the Big Rig Tourist Attraction (walking distance).
Disliked:- A bit cramped and tired looking - could do with some TLC. I think more effort has been put into the cabins here.
Local Information:- You MUST check out the Roma Saleyards that have sales every Tuesday and Thursday. Entry is free and make sure you take the free guided tour - the man who led us around spent most of the morning stopping, chatting and explaining how everything worked. The day we went they had the largest sale day on record - absolutely amazing place - was the real reason we stayed in Roma on a Tuesday. Also check out the Big Rig Tourist Venue and their night sound and light show (they had just changed management hands when we went)

Staff were friendly, I just don't like being called mate even by the lady at the front desk. Far too expensive for a single person. I am aware that its tourist time, but fair crack of the sauce bottle, give us single travellers a bit of a go. I was parked on the road side slab. Around off the main road and onto the slab. Stayed there for 4 nights, even though they stuffed up and the person who was supposed to go into my spot was rude and very indignant. I was charged $32:00 for an extra night. The amenabilities are old, but admittedly they have got shower and toilets all over the park. At least the showers had curtains over them, but the mats were old and the place for your clothing and implements was a small timber bench attached to the wall, not good.. Don't visit Roma over the weekend as the town is closed on a Sunday. Slab was OK, but very limited place to park your vehicle in front of your van. There is also a dump point at the park. I would stay in Roma again, but in a different location, sorry guys but not real impressed.

This was our second visit to this park. It is walking distance to the Big Rig display centre, and easy to find coming in on the highway from Miles. Its a busy park, certainly in the school holidays when we were there, with a few people working in the area too. Access to roomy level sites (some gravelled, others grassed, others with slab) is easy, as the roadways are wide, and without kerbs to hinder backing on and hooking up. Power, water & sullage are in easily accessed positions, and the amenities blocks are large, well maintained and close to most sites. The barbecue / camp kitchen area is large with a lot of plates, and the pool was popular, especially with families staying there. Staff were friendly and helpful, and ground staff were around the park and helpful. Price for the two of us with caravan was $31.50 after Top Tourist discount.

this park is in a great location opposite the Big Rig and a reasonable stroll/walk into town. I can only base my report on the area I was in as I wanted to walk around I just ended up not having time and it was raining. the site I was given was a drive thru site, you drive back onto the road then turn into the caravan park, the slab though I was given even though I had booked in advance was all cracked and a bit unsafe and dangerous. the site itself was a reasonable size, but you park your car across in front of it and with majority of cars being 4WD or ute it was very cramped and little room between cars. it had a lovely camp kitchen which I didn't really use but was popular in the evenings, not sure if there is one or two amenities but the one near me only had 3 showers and toilets but there wasn't a wait for them. when checked in the lady was friendly but only just, no help given on the site,, that is fine as it is a drive thru but even so travelling by yourself it is nice to have someone help you line up to the slab. The Big Rig was interesting as was the sale yards and the walk around town. the stain glass windows were amazing too. I had stayed here before and would probably again too it is a top tourist park also

Just a park. Close to major attractions and short drive to supermarkets etc. Poor value for money at 31 bucks (powered site 2A) per night. As others have commented not the friendliest of staff. Full of miners on long term accommodation most of which do not keep their sites up to scratch which gives a poorly maintained appearance. The dozen or so caravan sites could also be better maintained. Average amenities block, average camp kitchen and dump point. No pool.
