This park has been Renamed; St. George Riverside Tourist Park, though both names are at the entrance to the park, a bit confusing. Only about 18 powered sites. There are many unpowered sites, some by the river, others on a semi grassed area at the bottom of the slope, before you get to the river.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $28 for 2A, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is good, soap provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate sullage close by. Poor laundry, no rec room, no camp kitchen, no wireless internet available. carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Right on the river. You can walk along the river for a way.
Disliked:- Water is near to some sites, but not suitable to go into the van (it is untreated river water), though you are allowed to fill up at the rain water tank by the laundry. You'll need to request this on arrival. Only one male & one female toilet, shower combo.
Added Touches:- The park advertises that you can hire boats, canoes, that they make damper nightly, but we didn't see boats or any obvious "get togethers". Fire pits at each site.
Road Conditions:- Access road off highway is dirt, but in reasonable condition.
