Lovely spacious park managed & maintained by two friendly young couples. As to be expected sites are dusty with limited shade but are terraced & flat. Nice camp kitchen with satellite TV, amenities are very clean & a small shop that sells the basics. Fuel was cheaper than Hawker & Wilpena Pound. 3 km entrance road wide & well graded dirt. Woolshed Restaurant was expensive but served great food & wine. We stayed 10 nights travel auction $205. Great place to stay in a wonderful environment. Optus phone OK, Telstra dicey.

Everyone for miles around knows this CP. It's a bit of an institution. Which other park has its own airstrip? On a sheep station in a bush setting with copious sites, this locale looks casual but is well organised. Blow the budget and do a scenic flight over the Pound; it is spectacular.
Very friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Kiosk, dump point, no wireless internet available., mobile wireless not available. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Liked:- The scenery.
Parking:- There is a defined bay on the right opposite reception.
Local Information:- Blow the budget (again) and eat at the restaurant. It's not cheap but apppropriately priced for a good standard of food. Considering how full it was on a week night, they're doing it well.
Road Conditions:- Three km of well maintained dirt road.
