Park is attached to the Shell Roadhouse and is basically a gravel paddock with powerheads and water. Sites were level but some were muddy after recent rain. Some shade. No sullage. There was a dirty bbq located in the middle of the sites with a weather worn bench table and chair. BBQ worked fine once it was cleaned. No playground, no pool. No longer a Top Park member. All sites were drive through and will accommodate large vans. Power ok and water was ok to drink (unlike previous reports).Amenities block was old but very clean with very hot hot water and excellent pressure. Staff at the roadhouse were friendly when checking in. Cost was $30 less Senior’s discount of 10% which was offered without asking.

Average staff friendliness, no complaints. Reasonable value for money $30 for 2A PN, powered. Paid $27, reduced for Discount for Top Tourist member. Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, drive-through sites, poor water quality, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, no rec room, basic camp kitchen, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean gas BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for overnighter.
Disliked:- Some vanners were told tap water not fit to drink while others were not told anything. Definitely not up to Top Tourist standard. Fuel very expensive - dearest we found in 2700kms Fuel much cheaper down the road at Wuddina Some semis drive through park to turn around
Parking:- Pull up outside roadhouse and pay then find your own site Some have water

$30 is too much to pay for this very basic park attached to the Roadhouse. Definitely not up to Top Tourist standard. Just a few power boxes in a paddock with an old amenities block

Book in at the Shell (not Mobil) roadhouse. $30 2A ($27 Top Tourist discount) was overpriced. Select your drive through site on hard packed sandy gravel. It looks more like a bush campground. Amenities were adequate and clean with plenty of hot water. There is a $10 key deposit. Night lighting was good .Telstra mobile and internet 5 bars. Easy walk to tidy little town. Kimba is half way across Australia - a good photo op. Be warned: petrol is expensive at Kimba, wait until Kyancutta for 10cents cheaper fuel.
