A great park with a real family atmosphere. We stayed over New Year and it was quite crowded, but still seemed to cope well with the number of people. Park is now a member of Top/Discovery group.

Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, book swap available, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 2. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground, in good condition. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Well maintained facilities and good rubbish collection. The park is right on the river, so boating and fishing are popular.
Disliked:- Key pad entry to toilets is a bit of a pain, particularly if your eyesight isn't good.
Parking:- Check-in bay at reception
Local Information:- The park is located right next door to the ferry, don't turn into the wrong lane, with a van it can be difficult to back out when busy.
Road Conditions:- good

Mixture of grass sites with either a shade cloth annex pad or concrete slab. Grass is in good condition. Away from the riverfront the sites are gravel with either a brick paved or shade cloth annex slab. Cost was $35 per night before chain discount. Amenities clean with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Keypad entry. Laundry has cold water wash only ($4) plus dryer. Adequate to cope with park numbers. Small amenities block by the tennis courts available for when the main block is being cleaned. Small laundry in this block with 1 washing machine and 1 dryer. Plenty of clothes line space. Free electric BBQs were clean but a bit slow to heat up. Well appointed camp kitchen with slow combustion heater for when it gets cold. Dump point. Boom gate on entry and exit. Free WiFi covers the Park from the local Council limited to 1 hour per day. Can be very slow at times. Walking distance to the main street. Number of annual vans but these were in a separate section of the Park from the tourist park. Generally an excellent Park right on the River Murray to use as a base to explore the surrounding area.
