This is quite a big park with many cabins and a few permanents as well as powered and unpowered sites. Most sites are generously sized and there are drive through too. Points for power, water and sullage are all handy and there is an onsite dump point. All internal roads are sealed however all sites are dirt. Ablution blocks had adequate facilities and were very clean. There is an onsite dump point. The park is located a few kms out of town, overlooks the waters of Spencer Gulf and is very quiet. Telstra coverage was good at 3 bars. Tariff was $35 PN for 2A on a powered site less 10% for Top Tourist members. We would definitely stay here again when next in Port Augusta.

We came back to this park for the price as we are Top Tourist members. This time we had a waterside site overlooking the Spencer Gulf. The only downside was the TV reception was poor due to over hanging trees. More dogs than ever this time. We were there a few days before. Location to nearby shopping centre is within walking distance. Its also the cheapest in Port Augusta.

A large old dusty park. Judging from the rules they give you on check in they are just waiting for a chance to evict you! A number of permanents some that look like extras from one of the mad max movies. Police are keeping a close eye on the ablution blocks due to vandalism. Ablutions are clean. We didn't have any problems during our stay but I think we will be trying somewhere else next time through!

We have used the other park in town, but it is expensive now. This park is cheaper and quieter. The sites are large and dusty, some have shade. The amenities block near us looked like it had recently been renovated and was quite good.

This is a good park, though it is a 5 minute drive to town. One amenities block has been updated with ceramic sinks, new tiling and rain shower heads from the ceiling. The other block still looks good even though it hadn't been renovated.

Don't be fooled by the name of this park. Yes it's on the shores of Spencer Gulf but they are the top most reaches of the Gulf where it looks more like a river. Across the water is a large railway yard which works at all hours and beyond that the Flinders Ranges. The view is more interesting than picturesque. A powered site for 2 adults is $29.70/night after TT discount. The park itself is large and almost entirely gravel which should be expected in this arid area. Some sites have slabs and many have shade. Amenities are in good condition and are clean as are the bbq area and laundry. Management is very security conscious and supplies written information about locking vans and cars at all times. The gates of the park are locked at 9.30pm denying even pedestrian access but codes can be sought from the office if you are planning to be out later. A very busy park, not particularly restful but well positioned for those traveling to WA or NT.

Good park for few nights stay to stock up. Busy park. Mostly gravel as they have permanent water restrictions. They have some "pretend" grass areas for kids to play on. We stayed in ensuite which was very clean and modern. Good value for money with Top Tourist discount. Managers do a great job in harsh conditions. A large town with plenty of shopping. The Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens worth a visit.

I booked here cause it looked quiet and it was. There is a book in area alongside reception, but be mindful to keep as far left as you can so residents can get thru. The nice, clean van en suites are away from the general caravan area and all are drive thru flat sites. The ground is compressed red type gravel that pegs can hardly penetrate, not good if raining like we had. Park kitchen sad. I would go again.
