Whyalla is an industrial town and this park is more of a workers accommodation centre than a tourist park. However sites are generously sized and many are drive through. Points for power, water and sullage are all handy and there is an onsite dump point. Roads and sites are all a mix of gravel and dirt but there are a few shrubs and gardens to soften the scene. The park is located a few kms out of town and is very quiet. Telstra coverage was good at 3 bars. $30 PN for 2A on a powered site less 10% for Top Tourist members.

This little caravan park is about 4 km out of town, just off Lincoln Hwy. $28 2A powered drive through site. All sites are gravel and big enough for the awning to be out and the car parked beside, with a garden between each site. Some permanents but no hassles. Renovated amenities are very clean, with plenty of room. There's even a proper bath for children. Park is close to Westlands shopping centre with Coles and Woolies and other major stores. Go to the marina to watch dolphins for free!

This excellent park is just off the Lincoln Hwy south of town. We had a large drive through site which was separated from adjoining sites by shrubs. This is a tidy park which we recommend. It is a bit out of town so you will need to drive to shops etc.

Kjay is accurate with his report and at this price it is hard to beat. Don't be afraid to ask for a seniors discount, we did ok.

Since my last report on this park there are new owners who have done & are doing a great job of cleaning up & revitalizing the park. Full marks to the new owners . The sites are in good shape, drive thru if you wish, the toilet block is immaculate, location while at one end of Whyalla is close to a major shopping precinct with all the services you could need incl. medical, discount fuel, hotels, etc. A must do is to go to the Salvation Army in Norrie for a great lunch for 2 for only $5.00 in their café/coffee shop. This park is now THE place to stop, the staff are obliging, it is right on the highway & is definitely good for a few days to see the area & at $25.00 p/night is a bargain
