Park is adjacent to the local sports ground and access is controlled through a boom gate. Walking distance to the main street. Price was $35 per night for an ensuite site. Ensuite did not appear to have been cleaned since the last guest left as the rubbish bin had not been emptied and the toilet and floor were dirty. On the plus side the hot water was hot and very good pressure. Did not get a chance to see the amenities block for the powered sites as it was locked off. Small laundry with one washing machine ($3) for a cycle that lasts 1-1/2 hours according to the note on the machine and one dryer. There is a dump point alongside this amenities block. Mobile signal (Telstra) was 1 bar but signal improved when you went into town. Extremely basic camp kitchen which did not appear to have been cleaned since it was built. Contained a dirty fridge and a dirty gas bbq. To wash dishes you have to walk to a sink attached to the back of one of the ensuite units. Couple of benches for seating which were falling apart and one dirty plastic table. As mentioned in previous post there is a large pot belly type stove in the camp kitchen and a small supply of wood. The water in the lake was well down due to the dry summer and all the sites were just dead grass. All in all a very poor park in what could be a very attractive location. Would probably go onto the next town next time.

After staying here in June we were a little underwhelmed as everything was wet and cold. On return the weather was dryer and substantial work had been done to the powered grass sites with new power and water. We took an en suite site ($35 for 2) and it was very clean and pleasant. Wood is supplied in the camp kitchen to fuel a large burner while you use the facilities. Very pleasant fellow in charge is most helpful. All in all a pleasant stop on the road west.
