This beaut little caravan park continues to improve under the ownership of Ty and Esther, who have done amazing work in the past 18 months. Now a member of KUI Parks, we paid $27.00 2A powered, drive through site. Having moved and renovated a pair of old units, Ty is working hard to create more drive throughs on concrete slabs. A great over-nighter off the Hume Hwy or for an extended stay exploring the area. Highly recommended.

Liked:- Near lake Anderson & easy to walk into town. Friendly & helpful manager. We mentioned the caravan park at a local restaurant & were given 10% on the food.
Disliked:- The area had had a lot of rain so the sites were quite wet & muddy.
Parking:- None, no boom gate.
Local Information:- Quaint little old time village, close to National Parks, wine regions & easy access off the Hume Highway.

A small shady park just off the Hume Hwy by Lake Anderson at Chiltern, an historic village classified by the National Trust. We paid $30 per night - level site with shady trees, spotless amenities, clean bbq and camp kitchen, laundry, tv room and dump point. Some quiet permanents. Adjacent to the bowling club. Just a 2 minute walk to town, with a great bakery and helpful, friendly folk in the Info Centre. Convenient location for a few days exploring the history of the town and the antique shops. Then head off to other smaller towns of the area - Rutherglen, Howlong, Beechworth or head to the Mt Pilot for amazing views. Train and truck noise after dark, but seems to stop by 11.00pm

This is quiet country caravan park. Large drive through sites. Perfect for an overnight stop off the Hume Highway at a cost of $30 PN powered for 2A. Can walk into the village, some interesting old shops, tea rooms and hotel. Good museum, worth the $2 entry. Friendly management. Older style amenities that are very clean, good laundry and a basic undercover BBQ. No pool, but the town pool is next door. Good walk around Lake Anderson. The local museum is well worth the $2 entry. Central area for easy drives to Rutherglen and Beechworth.
