New operators in the last six months. Paul and Melissa Daly. Friendly helpful people. A pretty park with well established trees. The park backs on to large creek that has trout. A very large park. Two amenities blocks that I doubt would cope in peak times. Grass sites some with annex slabs. Due to heavy rain the tracks and most sites were muddy. At least the annex slab reduced the mud. A small playground. A open rotunda with gas BBQ's functions as a camp kitchen. Washing up opposite behind the amenities block. We still enjoyed our 3 day stay and would return. Hopefully when not so wet.

For us and for this trip, this park was just what we needed for our stay in this area. The trees in the park were showing their autumn colours to their best - yellows, reds, oranges, browns, etc. Just beautiful. The crowds of the Man From Snowy River Festival had gone, leaving the park very quiet. With very few other vans and campers we were able to spread out and choose our own site - from slab or grass, either under trees or in the open, near the amenities or away in an isolated position. (We chose to be near the amenities). Sites are powered or non-powered and with or without water. The park is about 5km from Corryong and is a good base for day trips into surrounding regions. We did a day trip up into the Kosciuszko National Park - which made the park ideally placed. The park's environment is tidy and clean. Amenities are very reasonable and a basic camp kitchen is available. the grounds were impressively maintained. The manager was on a mission to keep the grass free of leaves. Busy man! The creek along one boundary is equisite. It must be popular in summer. A few items of play equipment are available for kids. Access into the park is simple. There is clear road vision off (and onto) the highway with a straight, flat, treed driveway. There is no lighting around the park but it is not needed. It seemed to be better without lights - added to the ambience.T However, the areas around the amenitites and the entance/office were well lit. Fire places are available and were used by some campers. Owners are informative, pleasant and helpful and obviously proud of their park. Price was $33 per night after a "three night discount" - down from $36. If you are in the area, go out tho Tintaldra and drop into the Post Office/cafe/museum and meet 88 year old Betty Walton. Be ready to spend at least two hours with her over a Deavonshire tea (or two) as she is amazingly entertaining and informative with her local history stories. She is an absolute gem. We are glad we decided to spend a couple of days in and around Corryong. It was well worth the visit.
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $36 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Liked:- Many shady trees if needed. Open, roomy camping areas. Personal and friendly managers. Very easy access to sites. It is so quiet and peaceful and the stars are astonishing.
Parking:- Very good parking space
Added Touches:- Information brochures in office. Fires allowed, great on cold nights. Safe and clear access from and onto the highway.
Local Information:- Corryong township is worth a day's visit (especially local history, museum, lookouts and historic buildings). Fuel is reasonably priced. Visit Betty Walton at the historic general store in Tintaldra for lots of local history. IGA in town. Also cafes.
Road Conditions:- Roads from Wodonga are good for caravans - wide, sealed, good edges, no sharp bends - with a couple of sections that are a climb but certainly not dangerously steep and winding. Between Wodonga and Corryong, fuel is only available at Tallangatta. Some rest areas along the way. Pleasant drive.
