We received a friendly, helpful welcome. Under new ownership, there are some great plans to update the park but they need to solve some existing problems. The grass sites are excellent with shady trees, but a majority of sites have shade-cloth pads on powdery dust. This caused terrible problems, healthwise, when severe winds blew through the park. The soil is so compacted that it was impossible to drive in pegs. Internal roads and the sites near the camp kitchen need to be surfaced to settle the dust which turns to mud in rain. We paid $35.00 per night (reduced to $31.50 for Big 4 membership). Putting the price up to $45.00 per night for a basketball weekend was just a cash grab. The toilet blocks didn't cope at this busy time (4 toilets, 4 showers insufficient). All the amenities were very clean. The park is 15km from Bendigo and the local pub has excellent meals.

We stayed at an en-suite site. Cost $36 per night. Site was a good length for our 7.5m motorhome; good sized slab, level, gravelled parking area for caravan/motorhome, also gravelled parking area for vehicle. Ensuite adequate, clean. Excellent park facilities. Camp kitchen and undercover BBQ area very well set up and very clean. Dump point. Park is thoroughly maintained. Very helpful and friendly owners and staff. General store nearby - also serves take away fish and chips (good). Had very good counter meals at Marong Hotel. Is convenient to access Bendigo while still being in a place with a pleasant rural setting. This park is now our preferred park for our regular visits to Bendigo.

A great park with very welcoming owners who are proud of their park. Both Deb and Brett are very approachable for tourist info or for assistance at the site. The camp kitchen, and amenities blocks are spotless. The lawns are lush and well maintained, with shady trees providing respite on hot afternoons. A pleasure to stay in such a relaxing park.

Previous reviews cover most of the detail so I will just add comments. This is an excellent park, well run, well maintained and thoughtfully arranged. Small features certainly help with items such as wider boom gates and room to swing a larger rig when entering or leaving. Great recreation room with Coonara wood heater in winter. Washing up liquid, sponge etc. provided in the BBQ area for cleaning up. Great clean, modern facilities with lots of hot water. The only less desirable features would be some of the sites are smaller, so ask when booking in and there is some road noise from the highway at night, but not too obtrusive. Overall a really great park to stop and good value.

Manager's name is Brett & Debbie
Brett & Debbie took over the park 18 months ago and have spent their time improving the facilities, gardens and installing new cabins and they have recently joined the Big4 Group. This is an extremely clean, well run park and Brett & Debbie are always willing to stop and have a chat. If you are going to explore the Bendigo region this is the ideal spot to do it from. One word of warning the park is very popular with caravan clubs/groups so it would be advisable to phone for a booking before you arrive. By the end of 2014 we will have stayed here 4 times.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $ 33 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Paid $29.70, reduced for Club discount. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to most sites, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanents. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Excellent playground, in good condition. Clean pool, pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided. Liked:- Although the park has permanents they are completely separate from the tourist area.
Disliked:- Some of the sites tend to be short, so if the park is not full the owners will allow you to park over two sites, but if the park is full it could be claustrophobic.
Parking:- Outside reception
Local Information:- Being close to Bendigo there is to much to mention but suggest the tourist bureau in town.
Road Conditions:- Usual rural roads, bumpy
