Date of Stay: April 2019 Rating: 2.5
The lake has not held water for many years, and the area can get dusty if winds get up. There is a 'jetty' out onto the lake that is about 3.5m above the dry lake bed, so parents should keep an eye on their youngsters. Unless you are into mountain climbing (Mt Arapiles is nearby) there is not a lot to do in Natimuk, but if you are after a quiet overnighter, this will suit you well. Town water not recommended for drinking, rainwater available.
Friendly staff, no complaints. Reasonable value for money $30 for 1A, powered. Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans.
