$45 pwd per night 2A - peak period. Not good value for money, for what's on offer. Most sites are on grass/grass dirt, are of reasonable length with car to park at front. Amenities are old, cubicles tiny and in state of disrepair. Half the toilet door latches didn't work, no fluros in some fittings in amenities and smelly septic?? adds to the drab experience. The unisex section was opened during the peak period and it was a bit better size wise. No dump point in park, and a few cassettes were seen being taken into the toilets??? Laundry is literally 2 washing machines and 1 dryer in an unmaintained old room. Camp kitchen looked fairly newish and was heaving utilised by seasonal workers living in dongas nearby. Caravan repairs still available onsite. Park needs a good clean up of the junk stored around it and the donga area strewn with old bedding and clothes not real attractive.

Very friendly welcome from owner, Peter, who gave lots of tourist info and advice. We paid $27 2A per night($3 discount with FPA membership). Sites are large, and well grassed after recent rain; some have concrete slab. The caravan park has a well looked after feel and all amenities were spotlessly clean. Yes, there is traffic noise at night but it didn't bother us too much. A great base to explore this area of Victoria.

Generous and grassy sites with handy water, power and sullage. Very dated but clean amenities and good Telstra coverage. $30 PN for 2A on a powered site (less 10% with Family Park discount). Main downside is that park is noisy with highway and train line out front and regular barking inside from many small yappy dogs whose owners tend to ignore their noise with park managers doing likewise. The onsite caravan repair business is a bonus if you require it. The park at Pental Island is superior – refer to my report on that park – we stayed at both.

This park is a few k’s out of town but did not inconvenience us. It is on the highway but the traffic noise is quite muted in the night. The sites are flat and have good access with many large concrete slabs. The facilities are old but kept clean. The rubbish bins are some distance away and lighting in the area at night is poor. There are quite a few shade trees and the lawns are well kept. The staff are family orientated and very friendly. The best part about the park is that they do caravan servicing and repairs on site and you can continue to stay in your van (just vacate it and go into town on the day it is worked on). We found the work excellent and the owner took the time to explain in detail what had been done and why. The cost of the service was reasonable by city standards and the powered site was $29 a night. We will return again, particularly to use it as an annual site before heading north and get a good service of the van done.
