Discovery Holiday Park - Koombana Bay, Bunbury

Koombana Dve. From S (Bussell Hwy), follow bypass road around Bunbury, then continue straight ahead when South Western Hwy turns right towards Perth. At next roundabout where Old Coast Road turns right continue straight ahead into Koombana Dve. Park is a couple of km further along on the left. From Perth, turn right at Bunbury Bypass instead of left towards Busselton and continue as above.Ph: 08 9791 3900 or 1800 003 367. BIG4 member. No pets allowed.

The powered sites need maintenance.The sites were not raked/cleaned and had the forgotten look about them. The grass between the vans, if there was any, was not cared for, nor was the matting or concrete pads, but the rest of the park was. The amenities were sufficient, nothing more. Cleaning wasn't that good. The camp kitchen was good for small groups. We feel the park lives on the beachside reputation, not its own. The noise from the road and the wharf was constant, but not too obnoxious. The new playground across the road was well patronised, with easy access from the caravan park. Good night lighting, keypad access to the amenities, has secure entry, but broken whilst we were there. Has a dump point and all the necessary things. Good location in town.

Friendly staff. Paid $124.50 2 adults powered. Stay 4 nights pay 3. Amenities were clean. Hot water not very hot did not need to turn on cold tap. Clean pool. There was free internet but during our stay this was not working. Park is close to town and across the road from Koombana Bay. There are lots of relocatable homes but these are in a separate section.

Overall a very good park. But more thought needed when allocating bays, There was only 4 Sites in use out the 12 in my Row and we were allocated one that flooded with 2" on water, However was only there one night and will ensure I'm not booked into number 12 again.
Friendly staff, average staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $43 for 2A, ensuite. Paid $38.7, reduced for Big 4 Member. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, late checkout allowed, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. Good playground, in good condition. Clean pool, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Liked:- Close to town.
Disliked:- Despite the park been nealy empty was allocated a bay that flooded with 2" of water.
Parking:- Good.
Local Information:- Within walking distance of town.
Road Conditions:- Good.

Situated on Koombana Bay with beautiful beach and walks, the Park is very good for all your needs, but has a slightly tired look about it. There are many permanent residents living in a lovely village type setting, the park is quiet, has a dump point and good TV / Telstra. Bunbury is a lovely City to explore. $40 p.n. powered site on a concrete slab.

Very good location close to the CBD and shops.
Friendly staff, average staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $220 for 2A PW, ensuite, shoulder season. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground, in average condition. Clean pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.

Really lovely and comfortable park with staff who care. We booked for 2 weeks and stayed 10!
Very friendly staff, no complaints. Very good value for money $45 for 2A PN, ensuite, off-peak season. Paid $35, reduced for Chain discount plus special promotion of stay 5 pay 3. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided, dry change area, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, kiosk, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Liked:- Beautifully maintained grounds - lovely green grass , walking distance to town and restaurants. Staff very helpful. open and spacious park next to the estuary.
Parking:- good parking for booking in
