Coral Bay Access Rd. First park you come to as you enter town - opposite shopping centre. Ph: 08 9385 6655 or 08 9385 7411. Pets allowed, at manager's discretion, on leash at all times, bond applies. Dog levy $2 per dog (up to two) per night.

Coral Bay is all about water. There is a lot of it to play in and not much to drink. There are 2 van parks in Coral Bay and they are adjoining, so it doesn't matter much which one you stay in. There is no reticulated water to sites and most of the taps have hoses attached to feed sprinklers delivering saline water to tolerant grass. This water is NOT drinkable. Drinking water comes from a few designated taps spread around the park. Water in Coral Bay comes from a deep bore. There is no above ground source. Other than a few shops there is no real town, at all, at Coral Bay. At about $55 per night for a barely acceptable sized site with no water, it's no bargain but it doesn't need to be because it is booked out. Ventilation in the shower block was poor. Access to sites varied wildly between dead easy and, "Can you move your car please?"
Average staff friendliness, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $55.00 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, hard to negotiate into site, poor water quality, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, book swap available, no wireless internet available. carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, dismal bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Basic playground, in average condition. Clean pool, pool is shaded, tables and chairs provided, toddlers catered for. Suitable for few days.
Disliked:- Water. The lack of it and the quality of water supplied. Some sites were crammed, claustrophobic and difficult to access. Others were quite roomy.
Local Information:- The park provides a fish cleaning station even though Coral Bay, itself, is an aquatic sanctuary.
